[The Fixator]

It's OK. Needs some tweaking

I had no clue what I was to do a first. I still am not sure if I figured it out. I did finally see where you mention in the comments that 'Other Stuff' is where the help is. Coming from experience with making forms, you need to make the help easier to access. Having a link that says 'Other Stuff' could mean anything to anyone. What you need to do is rethink your menu screen so that you have enough room to put all the important stuff. Even if you have players click 'Play Game' to get to thinks like the music, difficulty, etc. Same goes with the shop. You need to have that out on the menu screen or other wise if folks don't read your author comment they won't know.

As far as the game play, I find it challenging. Maybe too challenging, if not slightly irritating. OK. Maybe Irritating is too strong of a word but this game does get frustrating fast. I'm not too sure how you could solve that. Maybe add more blocks at a time or something.

Other than that, not bad. I hope you don't find my review too picky but I see where you really wanted honest reviews so I wanted to give it to you.

I trust in my players that if they don't read my comments, they are simply not intelligent enough to play. Plus, the game should be obvious. The boxes light up and... you move your mouse over them! its complicated lol.

I don't see how the gameplay is too challenging. If it is for you, simply put it on easy.

Not bad for a first.

Not too shabby, man. My suggestion is thst you start doing some stuff with a plot and some small animations. I don't mean go pro immediatly. More like add some more movement, maybe some dialogue, and a simple plot line. This cartoon was good but the whole click and watch what happens is a little dry. Overall, this was good. Keep animating and working at it.

It's OK. Kind of a snoozer. I think if there wasn't a constant plasma stream shooting and you added a little more challenge it would be fun.

Almost thought this was pointless

At first I was totally agreeing with you that this was meaningless. I didn't even know it was interactive until I read the Author Comments. If you didn't add the interactive facts and the dress up game, I would have given you low votes and ratings. However, I REALLY like what you were doing with this. Though the animation is very simple and the drawing is basically stick figures this whole piece is interesting. I like that you can click the building and other points and get quick information about living in that time period. This would be an AWESOME lesson piece for teachers. Besides the song you used being quite adequate for the piece, this I feel could appeal to students in high school.

Now, I would like to state that there were some things I would have liked to see. Number one, more information with some of the interactive pieces. Like the cabins and stuff, I think putting a text box that you could scroll down to read the information would be great here. I think adding more educational info to this would make this worth while. Also, if you plan on expanding this beyond the town I feel adding an actual army camp and battle field would be great. Show people what it was like to be a soldier and what the weapons were capable of. I mean, really pull out some good information for folks. Plus, I think some more mini games would be nice to keep people from getting too bored if their not into educational stuff. However, nothing really violent.

I'm really hoping you come up with a new version soon. This is a neat idea. Great job.

Interesting.

Quite interesting so see how fast you can go. What makes this worth it is to see how fast you can type the numbers at the end. Although, it did give me a head ache I kind liked this.
